PROJECT 1 : A PERSONAL SPACE
In this introductory exercise, we are to design an outdoor personal space that is flexible, lightweight as well as safe with all mechanisms being simple and easy to operate. Materials for its construction are from sustainable sources and weather proof.
It is of multipurpose; must be able to accommodate/support a user’s activities which include ties back to ONE or more key characteristics of AEP in general based on their research, observation and interview. We must be able to demonstrate its ability to function in a real world situation.

PROJECT 2 : PRIMARY SCHOOL FOR ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION
The project calls for a design of a school for a selected Alternative Education Program for primary years students in a suburban area with some complexity that includes the complexity of site topography and vegetation and socio-cultural events. We are required to provide full design proposal incorporating precedent study and site analysis at appropriate level of presentation. We are to explore design solution that responds to the choice of AEP, context of the site and conditions for human and environment sustainability. The design should contribute to and merge harmoniously with nature and the site, and provide the best of experiences for the users.
Through this project, I have learnt to apply ideas of environmental sustainability in design, design and create architectural spaces with consideration of environmental poetics in relation to the basic natural context and existing built context which impact on users’ experiences, and combine the environmental needs, the site, and the users’ experiences within simple building design in the open landscape/suburban context.
